Another busy weekend at the Northumberland and Durham County Championships at Sunderland Aquatic Centre saw Tynemouth swimmers come home with 17 medals with lots of finals made and pbs recorded - plus another six club records broken.
Niamh Savory (11) broke four of those records while winning four golds (50 back, 100 back, 100 breast and 200 fly), while Emily Hedley (13) and Ella Took (15) both broke 1500m freestyle records on their way to gold medals.
Ella also won gold in the 800m free, and Katie Stobbs (14) won two golds, in the 400IM and 100 breast. Niamh also collected a silver in the 200 free, with more silvers arriving courtesy of Lauren Heppell (13), 200 free and 1500 free; Lucy Hedley (15), 1500 free and 800 free; Maddie Wilson (13) in the 100 breast, plus Jamie Beach (11) in the 200 fly. Leonie Aldridge (16) meanwhile took bronze in the 800 free.
In the 14 years age group, Kathryn Bell finished 5th (100 back) and 10th (200 free), while Myles Harding was 9th in the 100 back.
For the 13-year-olds, Maddie Wilson was 4th in the 400IM, Arianna Stokes was 5th (50 free), 8th (800 free) and 10th (200 free), George Watson finished 6th twice (100 breast and 200 free) and 9th (400IM), Benjamyn Hartridge was 7th (50 back), while Matthew Chandler was 8th in the 100 breast. Eva Clapperton had two 9th-place finishes (200 free and 200 fly), Eve Rudd was 15th in the 100 breast and Calum Robson 16th (50 free) and 19th (50 back).
There were more finals in the 12 years age group, with Katie Coventry 4th (100 breast), Ava Perkins 5th (100 breast) and 6th (50 free), and Jack Kelso 6th in the 100 breast, while for the 11-year-olds Jamie Beach took 4th (200 free) and 5th (50 free), Anna Carr an 8th (200 free) and 9th (50 free), while Hannah Gauld finished 14th in the 100 breast and Ruby Dann 17th in the 50 free.
Last but certainly not least there were two 10-year-olds in action, Oscar Makepeace with two 13th-place finishes (50 free and 200 free) plus a 15th (50 back), while Erin Jones was 21st in the 100 breast and 25th in the 50 free
