THERE was another road trip for Tynemouth ASC swimmers attending the BOSSS gala at Billingham Forum – and another impressive haul of medals, PBs and performances during another successful weekend of competitive action.

In the 10 years ago group, Abby Coventry was rewarded for her efforts with four gold medals in the 50m butterfly, 100m breaststroke, 200m breast and 100IM, plus a couple of silvers in both the 50m and 100m backstroke.

Freya Beach also had another great weekend in the 11 years age group with three golds in the 50m and 200m fly, and the 100IM, plus two silvers in the 50m back and 200m back, and a pair of bronzes in the 50m free and 100m back.

Katy Otterson (11) also came home laden with gold, silver and bronze after finishing on top in the 100m freestyle, finishing in second spot in the 50m breast, 50m and 200m free, and the 200IM, and third in the 100m breast.

Aidan Turner led the way for the 12-year-olds with three gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 400m free, plus two silvers in the 50 free and 200IM, and a bronze in the 100IM, while Ruby Dann (12) added another couple of golds in the 50m free and 100m fly.

In the 13 years age group, Niamh Savory added another five golds to her collection with success in the 50m and 200m back, and the 100IM, 200IM and 400IM, secured three silvers in the 50m and 100m fly, and 50m breast, plus a bronze in the 100m back.

Jamie Beach (13) took home three gold medals after coming out on top in the 50m, 100m and 200m fly, plus secured a bronze in the 100m free. Elsewhere, Isobel Munnoch (13) took two silvers in the 100m breast and 100m free, and a bronze in the 50m breast, and Thomas Connell (13) bagged a bronze in the 200m back.

For the 14-year-olds, Jack Kelso took home no fewer than four gold medals with success in the 50m, 100m and 200m breast plus the 400IM, and secured silver in the 100IM, while Katie Coventry took home two golds from the 100m and 200m breast, and a silver in the 100IM, and George Turner bagged silver medals in both the 400m free and 400IM.

In the 15 years age group, Benjamyn Hartridge took home a couple of bronze medals from the 50m back and 100m breast.

And finally among the 16s and over, Jack Ashurst (16) took two silvers in the 50m fly and 100m free plus a bronze in the 100IM; Katie Stobbs (16) secured silvers in the 50m and 200m breast, and James Hayes (16) took silver in the 50m back and bronze in the 100m free.
