Volunteering at TASC
Volunteers are vital to the running of Tynemouth Swimming Club and we welcome anyone who feel they can contribute to the ongoing running and success of the club. If you are curious about positions you could help with or if you want to take part in more formal training as an official, coach or lane end then we would love to hear from you. Swimmers are also able to volunteer for various roles from the age of 14. For more information contact the club secretary via the contact us page.
The more volunteers we have the better the club is and it gives us more options to help our swimmers develop their swimming careers and more importantly to appreciate the joy of taking part in a healthy sport. We also welcome volunteers who would like to progress their teaching or coaching with us and in return for your time as a volunteer we can assist with funding for training to help you develop your qualifications and knowledge.

How You Can Help Us?
We are happy to hear from anyone who can volunteer in any capacity and always have roles we need to fill. Tina Diddee, our competition secretary also takes responsibility for coordinating volunteers so please do get in touch of you are interested. Below are some examples of areas we need help:
- Officials including time keepers
- Help with running timing equipment at galas
- Health & Safety Officer
- Fundraiser
- Marketing Officer
- Volunteer swimming teachers / coaches / poolside helpers
- Team Managers
There is also an opportunity each year to nominate to be on the TASC club committee if you wish.
