TYNEMOUTH AFC swimmers certainly put their heart into the Durham City Valentines Meet, and got their just rewards in the shape of gold, silver and bronze medals, plus some nice pbs.

Freya Beach led the way for the nine-year-olds with four golds and two silvers, while Abby Coventry won two golds and two silvers, Annabel Cowens two golds and one bronze, Hannah Gray a gold, four silvers and a bronze, Samuel Lain a gold, silver and bronze, and Lucy Hall one gold.

For the 10-year-olds, Isaac Stokes won no less than nine golds plus a bronze, Mitchell McDermott a gold and three silvers, Anna Johnson a gold, silver and bronze, Joey Lau a gold and silver, while Millie Clennell won a silver.

In the 11 years age group, Molly-Rosanna Young won six golds and two silvers, Jai Diddee took home two golds, four silvers and a bronze, Jacob Lain two golds and a silver, Kajetan Guzikiewicz a gold, four silvers and a bronze, Hannah Gauld a gold, Megan Comrie three silvers and two bronzes, Toby Ross three silvers, Isabel Roderick one silver, while both Sam Morton and Beth Richardson two bronzes apiece.

As for the 12-year-olds, Isobel Munnoch secured three golds and a silver, Rosa Philips three golds and Thomas Connell three silvers and a bronze, while the 13 years age group saw Calum Robson take home three golds, four silvers and a bronze, Joseph Chandler win three golds, Matt Stewart two golds and a bronze, Matthew Wilson one silver, while Matthew Chandler, Mili Diddee, and Niamh Nicholson all took a bronze each.

In the 14 years age group, Charlotte Payton won two golds, Lauren Comrie two silvers and a bronze, and Kaitlynn Knox a bronze, while in the 15 years and over category, Abigail Charlton (15) won four golds and two silvers, Evie Hartridge (15) won one gold and two bronzes, Dhritiman Sarma (15) a bronze, Emily Morris (16) won a gold and three silvers, and Matthew Hayes (17) one bronze.
