Tynemouth swimmers travelled to Ponds Forge in Sheffield to represent the club at the North East Region Open Championships, with new club records set over the weekend.
Leonie Aldridge, while finishing seventh in the 1500 free, set a new 16-year-old girls record of 18:57.62. She also joined forces with Ella Took, Allana McDonald and Lucy Hedley to take fifth place in the 800 free relay, setting 14-16 and open records with a time of 8:52.43.
Jack Ashurst and James Hayes recorded new pbs during the weekend, while there were also good performances by Neave Abbey, Amy Heron, Harriet Lee, Katie Stobbs and Sophie Stobbs.
