Swimmers entering these squads could be competitive swimmers who do not meet the criteria to access or maintain a place in other squads, or may still be determining whether or not they wish to compete. They may also be swimmers who have entered the club as older children and need more time to develop skills and technique before being offered a place in other squads.
These squads can also be used as an opportunity for swimmers who want to take a break from the competitive squads. For example - during exam periods our when recovering from an illness or injury.
- Competitive and non-competitive swimmers
- Age 8 plus (Two squads are available depending on the age and ability of the swimmer)
It is possible for swimmers to move between the two pathways within the club providing they meet the entry criteria for the squad in question. Swimmers in this squad can be offered places in other squads within the club.
